Title: Exhaust Leak
Post by: HappyMan on December 19, 2007, 04:16:21 AM
I've noticed that my 06 is leaking exhaust where the pipe meets the muffler/slip on.  At first it was a fair amount plus condensation.  I readjusted the clamp and cut it by 75%.

Is this a normal thing on this bike or is there something more I should try?

Hey Happy.........probably just from getting started a lot and not ridden down the road to clean it out. I'm in the same boat as you......just bought my 06, and haven't had a good day to take it out. SNOW :(  and salt are preventing that just like you. It is tempting to keep starting it to hear that triple rumble isn't it?? Vrooom, Vroooooooom!!!!!  Better days ahead................

You've got my number.....it's killing me!  It has been nice, however, to be forced to spend some good quality time going thorough the bike to get to know it.

That's what I do on those cold rainy days... fire it up and sit behind it and just listen to it.

Mine drips condensation at the joint also.  No big deal.
