From the Windy Cold Great Plains where we KNOW that winter:
Allows us to 'put our winter wardrobe' to the test .....
Puts Potholes the size of ditches in our roads ...
When many folks cannot wait to test their 'driving skills on ice' ....
Brings content with hearing the cold winds blow and rejoice that it's only
5°F outside ....
Allows us to participate in the 'cleanest driveway on the block' contest.
No matter how high the drifts!
Knowing my last oil change will keep 'kitty' happy during hibernation ...
When the term 'global warming' is synonmous with F*** You, Al ...
And have the SATISFACTION that 'up here' ..... our BUGS are Dying !
HAPPY NEW YEAR To ALL You SIC TWISTED KITTY WHIPPERS!

Wow!! Couldn't have said it better myself. As much as I can't stand that i can't get the bike out of the driveway with out studs I wouldn't give up our winters. Yes, I am that sick and twisted. Oh and while I'm at it....F*** You, Al!!
It is a tradition, this year was the toughest, put the new Hein Geirke to the test. 25 degrees with wind gusts to 30, the wind was the worst, except when aimed at tail. We rode 65 miles round trip to a local polar bear dip in the river. Jon froze up, I was OK and Steve had his new heated gear on and was toasty. Few other bikes there all within 12 miles.
Happy New Year from Central Florida.
You'll be glad to know our high today is on 48 with wind gust out of the north at 30 mph. Wind chill warning for tonight and thursday. Road the bike this morning and was a bit nippy for a Florida boy. Think I may have to take the cage to work this afternoon.
Minus four below here this morning without a wind chill.....
I know just what you mean fellow Kitty riders,
Its 25 here and...wait a minute, its 25 centigrade here. Please continue freezing, we'll post a few ride reports from Oz.
Happy New Year to all, Russell

They are talking about highs like that around here next week. I'll believe it when I see it but if I do I'm hitting the road if it melts the ice on the driveway. If it doesn't melt then I'm just going to put it on a trailer and get it out to the highway! My driveway is a hill and I don't have a prayer when it's solid ice.....
Well...Happy New Year to you all!
This is the view from my living room this morning. Riding my yellow kitty seems quite far away right now :(
Kitty Whippers...makes me recall a video posted by a friend on another forum.

Hey, what wound up happening with those crash bars...?
Fortunately I was outbid. I bid pretty low just figuring if I got them for that price it would be worth it. I tried contacting the seller but he didn't respond until after the sale.
I'm struggling with which bars to get. I like the Ma's bars but I think they make the bike look a little wide from straight on. I still might go with them since they seem like a great way to go. Any idea if they are shipping them and what they cost?
Here is what I know--

Other info (I forget who posted originally, or where--sorry!): "If you want Ma's guards call 701-277-4584 and place your order with Bob."
That's what I've been looking for. Thanks!!
