Title: Changing fork oil / Head bearings
Post by: Bliker on February 26, 2008, 04:16:36 AM
Any tricks to changing the fork oil on the  04 Tiger? From what I understand the forks have to come off to dump the oil out. How about adding the oil, do you have to be careful to avoid getting air in the system or just pour it in and seal it up.
I'm thinking I might as well grease the head bearings while I'm at it. Do I need any special wrench to get at the head bearings?

Fork oil:  http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,2966 (http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,2966)

Head bearings:  http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,3344 (http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,3344)

The head bearings are serviced by using a pair of spanners (size unknown to me), Triumph Part # 3880140-T0301
