Title: USA inner tubes.
Post by: blacktiger on June 14, 2008, 10:22:13 AM
Question :-
If I need a motorcycle inner tube in the USA, do I need to get to a motorcycle dealer? Or, do ordinary tire depots stock them?

you will need to be at a m/c dealer or a m/c parts supply store (aftermarket )

Thanks. I was afraid of that. Not that it's necessarily a big problem. Just that they're further apart.

No it won't be a big problem , you will probably find an m/c dealer just about anywhere incuding small towns . just look in the phone book in the yellow pages whereever you happen to be .

Thanks for that tip. I didn't realise they'd be that numerous.
Although we'll be carrying spares with us, I was considering where we'd get a replacement should we have to use the spare because the original is not repairable.
Cheers.

Getting a tube isn't hard. Getting the right size WILL be more challenging.

As they're not our bikes I don't care what size goes in so long as it holds air.
