Title: Break In ?
Post by: cwprint on May 11, 2004, 01:34:26 PM
I am purchasing a 2002 Tiger from a seller out of state, and will be riding it home (about 500 miles).  The bike has roughly 1,500 miles on it.  What is the break in period ?  Would there be a problem maintaining interstate speeds ?

With 1500 miles you should be fine.I would ask the owner about
the 600 if he did it or dealer, and if that was the last service.Check the oil (bike vertical) and air pressure and you should be able to ride it anyway you want with the 1500 miles already on it.
Enjoy!  :D

Well, I made it home.  570 miles.  The wind protection with the stock screen was ok, but the saddle has got to go.  Doesn't Triumph make a Gel Saddle ?.  Does anyone have any suggestions?.

they do make a gel seat now.

Corbin makes a nice seat.  It weighs a bit though.
