Title: Hooking a Battery Tender up to Tiger?
Post by: Dave in IL on January 13, 2009, 08:52:21 PM
I was told that I can connect a battery tender to my 06 Tiger through the accessory outlet. Does anyone on the board do this? Where can I get the adapter cord?

Thanks

Dave

Yes you can. I do it all the time. The cord depends on the make of charger.

Cyclegadgets.com should have what you need. My 00 has a bmw style accessory socket and cyclegadgets has an adapter for that style to the tender plug.

Six down on this page. http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/pr ... ?Item=PLUG (http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?Item=PLUG)

I also plug my charger into the accessory socket. Dont spend a lot of money on the (BMW Typeplug). Its a stndard Hella plug used on caravans and motor homes, so can be purchased redily. I have just bought one for £ 1.69 from an accessory shop. It was the Sky Blister pack stand part No SL 26.
