Title: Throttle Body balancing - setting the revs
Post by: Bixxer Bob on April 06, 2009, 10:58:38 PM
Just a small tip when doing your TBs.  If you haven't got cruise control it can be tricky to get the revs right to do do the adjustments.  After starting the engine, I opened the throttle a bit and placed a washer 0.5mm thick under the throttle stop thus lifting it just enough to get the revs up.  Sorted!!

The Caterpillar o-ring cruise control method should work too!  And since the throttle will still turn with help, you can adjust the throttle if need be!
