Hi guys,
last weekend (Easter) I took part at a 2 days offroad rally in a surface mine here in Germany. I wrote a ride report at ADVrider which I like to share with you:

I hope you have as much fun to read as I had to ride/write. ;)

Whups. Sorry, Patrick. I saw your thread on ADV a few days ago, and posted the link here in "You All Have Got To See This", in the 'Speaking of Bikes' forum...

You have a lot of fans. :thumbsup
Oh. Thanks. I didn't see this. Fine, that you enjoyed it.

Great report Patrick. I posted it on another forum as well.
That's some pretty impressive riding. A lot of people have no idea just how difficult it is to ride a large bike in sand, uphill or not.
Good on you.
I'm a new member on this forum who've owned a 98 Steamer since it was new, and have ridden it 140 000 km on and (more and more) off the tarmac over the years. But I have never learned (or liked) to handle deep sand. That takes a lot of strength and abilities on a heavy, not to mention top heavy, Tiger.
So I am very impressed. Sorry to hear about the shoulder, but to me it seems it was worth it.:)
My Tiger is bent and bruised after numerous falls, and after a four day gravel rally in the Norwegian mountains, I am looking for ways to reshape her into a more rally-friendly machine.
So I have a question for you. Is your Tiger rebuild through the company Moto Bau(which is printed on the bike)? I looked at their website and it seems to be the right place but they have nothing in there for Triumphs.
I'm 1,95m tall, and want to reshape the seat to be taller and firmer, and have raised the bars 10 cm to be able to comfortably ride standing up. The seat and tail piece looks extremely nice on your bike, so this part interests me. Is it all Moto Bau?
Also the front with the rally cockpit looks nice, but that is secondary at this stage.
I guess you've changed forks and front wheel to 21 inches?
Just out of curiosity, what cost do we look at to do all the mods that you've done, if I may boldly ask?
kind regards
Dag J
