Title: The Primus Rally, Norway, Feb. 2010.
Post by: greg on June 10, 2009, 12:42:45 AM
Well, after doing the Elephant Rally (The Bavarian one) a couple of years ago, I think it's time for a bit more even more ridiculously stupid winter riding.

The Primus Rally is held in February, and doesn't seem to attract a large attendance (I wonder why   ), so it seems an obvious choice.

I'm not sure of the exact location yet, but am on it, or even the exact date, again on it - it's not like there is an official website or anything.

The guy at this website is a very helpful guy and has been a couple of times (He lives a couple of hours from the site):

If anyone feels up for an act of gross stupidity, feel free to join me. My last act of stupidity was Timbuktu 2-up fully loaded and that went ok (but not for the BMW's ha ha   ), and alot of the preps to the bike were done for that which come in handy.
My only concern is tyre choice and should I rig up some kind of ski-outrigger bodge?

I will shortly be starting up a website to chronicle my efforts, will post up the address when I've got that sorted.

Ive always wanted to do the Primus rally and the Krystal(no tents allowed now  ) but my pockets have never been deep enough,i dont know what it is but i seem to be drawn to colder climates, after years of the Dragon and Elephantentreffen i want to stretch my legs so to speak,
this year i was one of only a hundred to be invited to the Taurentreffen,
i shall do that for a couple of years more i think and then look elsewhere.
