Hi All - mostly UK riders this one.
Anyone go to the Rocker Reunion ride to Brighton yesterday?
I didn't know it was on and a V_Max riding mate called early Sun morning to see if I was up for it. So off we headed.
Saw two other Tigers there a black one (spokes no luggage) and a blue on (full luggage and alloy wheels).
Generally a cracking day out, lowest estimate I heard was 30,000 bikes, so superb classics (NORVIN, Goldstars, Panthers, Bonnie a couple of Indians) all rubbing shoulders with modern stuff.
Worth a trip next year..............
Cheers

The old Mods and Rockers reference. I couldn't help myself.
Plenty of Mods with their Lambretts Vespa with mirrors, lights, fox tails etc all over.
Not my cup of tea at all, but respect their right to ride.
No photos (surprise surprise)
No hassles at all, which was good.
Excellent Fish & Chips on the pier for lunch. Fresh cooked doughnuts for afters.
An excellent day out.
I'm back in Brighton on 3rd Oct for similar run in my '76 VW Bay Window Camper - aging hippy?? Probably!
Post pics of the VW. I'm an old-time vee-dubber myself.
Me too, dust off that kaftan baby :eusa_dance
Well you guys did ask.
She's called Daisy May.
1976 Bay Window Camper with Devon Moonraker pop top conversion.
Stock 1600cc engine and gearbox (looking for 2ltr though). We've reburbished interior. Rewired all the leasure battery looms, so radio CD, water pump, fridge, interior lights etc run of that.
Added tacho, oil pressure, clock, oil temp gauges. Wood rim steering wheel 18" diameter !!!!
Also installed Lancia Thema front seats, compared to original VW they're pure luxury.
What's in the pipe line - install Propex gas heater and stay on top of the rust!

PS you'll also find me lurking on theVolkszone forum - same handle
PPS yes that's a tigger on the dash
PPS no the dasiy on the side wasn't my idea
Nice :D more of a Type 3 man myself, there is something about rolling along in any Vdub with the windows open in the sun on a coast road (even in Scotland  ) with the Mama's & Papa's blasting out 8)
Sorry for the hijack
On sunday october 11th is Brightona, normally the last big ride out of the year. Last year was very busy and warm!!
