Ok, this is just testing the water.
Post here if you're interested in a UK Tiger meet next year. The where and when comes later. First I have to know who's interested and where you are so that I can propose some places for comment.
I can do pretty much anywhere and anytime as I retire in the spring.
I'm just off the A1 near Huntingdon.
Any takers???
I could be up for this,
I would even volunteer to lead a ride around some of the peak district roads, some hidden treasures or even the more well known such as the cat'n'fiddle.
I'm game. Getting a bit old for the tenting routine, but there's always a B&B somewhere in this place. Go for it!
Count me in guys. Quite prepared to travel to the action....
(Can't do August at all though).
Hi Guys,
My first post, and I would be up for this even though Im not even a Tiger owner yet, but will be hopefully by January at the latest, as long as the right bike turns up, Ill be looking for a late 955i as soon as the finances are in place sometime in December.
Im an expat cockney living in South/Mid Wales, the Brecon Beacons are my back yard, hope to meet some of you next year,
Cheers
Tim
I could well be up for this. Living in the Scottish Borders but have Tiger will travel! :D
Andy.
consider this post ... me registering an interest!!! 8)
I'm literally 3 miles from Meriden (the Centre of England .. apparently)
So wherever you meet, I'm reasonably placed to get there!!!

same here.. :)
I'm also looking at trying to arrange a 1 day informal meet up with some other Triumph blokes at the Shuttleworth Collection..

a couple of friends are involved at the collection so I'm looking at a group discount entry and poss a guided tour..
I'll start a seperate thread once I get some poss dates sorted out..
Neil
I`m up for a meet, hopefully it wont clash with other commitments
Put me down for a provisional yes for this, depending on date and finances. I am in East Cleveland (used to be North Yorkshire).

My parents used to own a grocery and off licence in Billingham... wife's from Seaham.
I was in Billingham a couple of weeks ago. Its looking pretty desolate now what with most of the chemical jobs going over the last few years. Coming from Seaham does that make your wife a Mackem
Sounds good, i am in South Wales, travelling anywhere is not a problem and i don't mind camping. 8)
Cheers Ade.
Me too! I'm in Ayrshire, but distance is no problem.
Scott.
Well I'm 'tother end of the country - off the south coast (just).
But Tigger is quite happy eating up the miles - just tell me when and where, will do best to be there.
Cheers

Well you've certainly generated some interest Bob 8)
You certainly got some volunteers and it's looks like you are our leader, Bob. :icon_salut
I guess it's a question of when and where now!
As long as I still live where I currently do I could offer up camping space in the field.
First thoughts on this are that Akey's area is fairly central so the longest treks from the SW and Scotland sort of balance out. And his offer of somewhere to camp would be useful, but still keeping an open mind. Just depends on whether that kills it off for a lot of people.
Next we need to get a date sorted; to avoid filling this thread up with short posts, pm me over the next week or so if there's any time you'd like to avoid. Personally, I think keeping away from school hols is a good idea as the roads will be less busy but there again, I have no dependent kids to consider.
Registering interest if my UK leave dates coincide with the arranged date. :D

Sigh.... yes, it does.... her and her whole bloody family...even got a brick in the wall of the Stadium of Light with her name on it.....

I suppose we all have our cross to bear!
I'm a provisional yes for this. It'll depend on roster at work.
Don't care where it is so long as there are good roads to ride but the further away the more days off it will require.
I'm on the south coast next door to Hastings.
I'd do my best to be there too, I am only a stones throw from Bob Cambridgeshire but originate from the SW (Devon) so have some contacts down that way for places to stay etc.

I noticed you were Willingham, I used to go to the fortnightly auctions quite often.

Scott.
Anywhere near Maybole?
Any dates yet?
Y'know, I'm really looking forward to this event.

me too.. could do with looking at dates and stuff soon as I noticed today that my collegues have already started lobbing in leave dates for next year.. :x
This would be good, count me in too. Need a date to get it booked in with family, work, etc.

Yes - were in the road on the left just before the zebra crossing which is just before the Auction house if you were coming from the Earith direction.
So what about 29th to 31st May the spring bank holiday weekend to get the ball rolling on a date?? Should be warm enough to camp but before the June floods
Count me in too, distance is of no concern to me,if there is camping then
all the better, and just a thought;does it have to be a summer meet  ,
after all we are Tiger owners............. right  somewhere off the beaten track would be great.
Sounds a good idea to me, too. The distance is no object, but the timing might be. If I can make it, I will.
Yes please, south of england would be lovely roll on summer!!!
The sooner some solid dates are suggested, the better!! Generally speaking I do not struggle. No dependants (except Springer spaniels) but work commitments play a part...
Ok, I'll be away for a few days but I'll post some likely dates straight after Xmas.
I need to start PMing a few folks as well - can't do this all on my own.
Happy to help out in any way I can Bob.
Me too.
I am happy to help out on the organization too.
Thanks for the offers guys, I'll be in touch.
If the date is good i'm interested in meeting up and shooting the shit, what i most definetly ain't into is doing any ride outs etc,did it on another forum some years ago, never again.
Chris, ideas shaping up (in my head so far) are a couple of nice routes for those that want to ride, chill time for those that don't. There won't be any pressure either way. Folks can ride in groups, or alone or not - it's up to them. What I'd like to happen is a bunch of like -minded folks get together and enjoy what we have in common, that's all.
It'll be a tall order tieing everything in together  ,looking at the runners and riders, something like this but on the A1.

I'm in, if time and place allow. My Tiger just loves to get out of Cornwall. Good idea.
Any dates yet? Calendar is filling up slowly. A week in May has gone as has one in June and one in July
Really just a case of dates for me..
Quote from: "BigMark"Really just a case of dates for me..
have a look at the thread below this.. looks like 10/11 July
It's an age thing
Sounds good, please keep me posted. Only thing in the diary (it was july wasn't it?) is the festival of 1000 bikes at Mallory. The Velo needs its annual punishment.

unfortunately its the same weekend...
.. I went a couple of years back and did the 'parade' with the Guzzi club.. that was fun
Quote from: "BONANZA"Coming from Seaham does that make your wife a Mackem
Hey there's nowt wrong with mackems :D  Live near Hartlepool now but was born near Roker park.
If any one fancies a days ride round the North..... Hartside, Lakes, etc, etc give me a shout am quite happy to lead, fast or slow as you like...
Hi Geoff. I,m on the other side of the river to you.If you look towards the cliffs at Saltburn I,m a couple of miles inland. ( I can probably see you on a clear day :) ) A run out sounds like a good idea, we will have to see if we can sort something one day.
Definitely, no probs, I was over near you today, had a ride to Whitby & a bit run aroun the moors.... was sunny but bloody cold...
Bloody hell!! I was in Whitby this afternoon. I passed a silver Girly going in the opposite direction on the way there and there was another one in the carpark at the cafe. Youre right it was a bit chilly on the way home.
Also got home to find my rear light lens hanging off, the plastic screw housing was broken on one side :x
mine's silver, didn't stop in whitby tho, could've been me coming the other way, but can't remember seeing a tiger... I stopped at birk brow (sp) for a cuppa & a tab...
This is getting spooky  I stopped at birk brow on the way there for a tab but no cuppa.
  strange eh... were you on yr Tiger? I was there about 12.30 1 o clock ish..
Just won a MRA vario touring screen on EBAY for the tiger :) 80 quid
Guys, get a room, or at least your own thread will ya???
No offence, only this is supposed to contain updates for the July meet.....
And, aye I know, that's rich coming from a regular thread hijacker but folks keep an eye on this one....
Sorry Bob  Apology winging its way to you.
Quote from: "BONANZA"Sorry Bob  Apology winging its way to you.
No need mate. In my view (ducking for incoming) a thread hijack is fair game once it's achieved it's purpose and is dying off but this one will run until the meet
oops.... sorry 'bout that am only a learner on here ya know
so back to the meet, I'm coming
I'm up for that. Based in Baildon, West Yorkshire.
Guys, can we close one of the threads going on this?
Either this one or http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,7172 (http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,7172) . Is there any sense in having two on the same subject?
Could everyone that's coming make sure they register on the other thread please?
Having said that, there's been enough to make it a goer for a while now. HHelps if we have an idea of numbers though.
I'll be getting on with the details as soon as I've finished this course I'm on.
Mustang,
Give it a day or two then we should kill this thread off as Blacktiger suggests.
