Title: Getting the air out of the cooling system.
Post by: Tiger04 on November 23, 2009, 09:21:27 PM
Ok, I've read the how to's on this site. What I need to know is where the bleeder screw is and do I need to run my tiger after filling the radiator and mess with the said bleeder screw while it runs or can I use the fluid reservoir to keep adding coolant.

You need to keep it running while bleeding it, that way the water pump moves the coolant around and brings any air in the system out.

one of the things I do when replacing the coolant is squeeze the hose from the  radiator to the pump.
it will purge any air bubbles that get trapped in the hose after I fill the rad.
