So how did you come accross your user name?
I got mine as when i got my first computer, i was riding my RF900.
Here we are at a trackday at Mallory Park.

Happyman is simple.  I am a very, very blessed man with an incredible family and a supportive beyond belief wife.  It's like waking up a lottery winner every day.  I'm not an idiot, the fact that I do not deserve her is not lost on me.

BJ Thomas wrote a song in the early '80s titled Happy Man and I took that song to heart.  Many years later I found myself actually being that Happy Man.

From the song Happy Man
When I die there won't be much to salvage from my earnings
I never had a lot of land or houses to my name
I've never been a corporate prince on Madison and New York
I never held a diamond in my hand

But I've seen children laughing
As only children can
And I've known my creator
And I've been a happy man

It doesn't get any better than this!!!  I'm a happy, happy man.

Using a heady mixture of quick wit, weasel-like cunning and pure devilish invention I devised mine from:

a) My first name
b) The town in which I live

btw Calne has a big motorbike day every summer.  Lots of different things to see including trials displays, vintage stuff, big chromosexual harley things, trikes, stalls, a band etc  The best bit is several thousand bikes and bikers of every sort parked up in the town centre.

http://calnebikes.freehostia.com/

There are always lots of tigers but last year there was even a steamer!!!!  (and a nice caspian blue one at that!)  It all happens 400 yards from my house otherwise there would have been two steamers present.....

Dont you remember the Stones track from let it Bleed?
Always a favourite, and it was what I named my first big bike, a black Triumph Tiger 100. So riding a black tiger now it seemed right.

Mine came from my first post on the Blackbird forum (IXXRA.com)

My middle name is Bob, from there I first came up with 'Biker Bob' (not very original) and then made the final leap substituting the "k" for the "XX" in the Blackbird's full name (CBR1100XX)

BTW,  RF900 - a much underrated bike, could hold it's own with the best in the right hands....

Mines a combo of my last name and my wife's maiden name.  Booooring.

Been using it for so long now I just don't care to change.  I'd forget my passwords.

My knickname is actually johnny mac, which is why I named my website as I did.

Gotta love the winter boredom topics.   :D

A Mexican bloke gave me the name. He said it was Spanish for 'tall and skinny'. And I took his word for it. Anyway, I am tall and skinny. Hey, Nick from Calne, hope to see you at the bike meet in the summer. I'll be the tall skinny bloke from Chippenham on the black Girly. (Living in Cornwall now, though.)

There's room for another political party with the election coming and all. Black Girly power! Expenses! Expenses! Expenses! (The last three words may not resonate with our cousins over the pond.) Televised debates! Brown, Cameron, Clegg and a black Girly! An excess of exclamation marks!

I'd rather see Palin debate any colored Girly.

Here in Chicago, there are no end of politicos with Black Girly problems...and White Girly probs...tan Girly probs...
Hell, there really aren't any pols withOUT Girly problems...

P.S. Note that Palin does NOT debate. You need a brain to debate. By 2012 she'll be lucky to be invited to cabbage wrestling...

Give me a break, it was late at night, I didn't want to use the daft anme I used for Yahoo, too much typing   there happened to be something on the local news about theMerlion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merlion) at that time and a Sintiger popped into my head and seemed to fit with the original myth about the mythical local beast actually having been a Tiger in water. Well, you'll either get it or not  :?

I really hadn't expected to to spend much time on here but I got hooked on the Steamer and haven't been able to find the door since

Post by: Rocinante on February 09, 2010, 02:30:35 PM
Rocinante is the Tiger, really, named after Don Quijote's horse who was wandering around Castilla La Mancha in Spain, not far from where I bought her and where we rode the first few thousand km.

The name stuck and became part of a homepage name and so on.

Not very original, I know...

Well......im kinda dumb and have a hard time remembering stuff.  brad 1098 Brad is my first name obviously and 1098 is not my Ducati or my house number. Simply a number I could remember for some strange reason.  Ducati didn't have a 1098 when I chose it.

I name everything Gretta, Hermann and Helga my VW's. Gringo the Chevy etc.

Lorna is my Girly....I was at a wedding of my buddies in Chicago.  He is from Warrenton, England.  There was a bunch of folks from the UK there and Lorna was absolutely stunning in every way.....So Lorna the prettiest English GIRL I have ever met is so true with the bike and the lady.

Tonight out on the streets
I'm gonna follow you
Tell you all about a scene
That you would kill for
You're gonna love what's
Burning right in front of you
But you won't see it
By the light of the sun

I first got on the internet back in the 80's when if was usually a university that gave you an account.  Back then they stayed pretty plain, so user names were just last name, first initial last name, or first name last initial. My university gave me my last name--abruzzi@nmsu.edu and I usually stick with that, except where I would avoid personal identifiers.

I got the nickname Taz while working as a bouncer in a dive country bar. They said when I fought it was like a cross between the Tazmanian devil (Warner Bros cartoon) and a viking berserker. The japanese for "the way" is do, as in Aikido (The way of the mind). So the joke was that my marshal art was Tazshido, the way of the berzerker.
