Title: Tigger engine replacements
Post by: Advwannabe on February 13, 2010, 12:27:03 PM
Some time ago I said I'd post up some shots of my Daytona engine in situ:

Tigger RHS

Daytona LHS

Engine mounts look to be in the same place, tape measure accuracy notwithstanding the measurements appear to be identical, although the Daytona's head is not as bulky ( not a bad thing).

In addition the bike wrecker I bought some bits from recently says he has performed an engine swap between a Daytona and Sprint, so it looks like this swap may be possible! Although I don't really want 150 horses trying to climb a rough gravel washboard hill......

You can see from the pix that the gear box would be reversed, because the footpeg is in a different location so the shifter faces the rear on the Daytona (trophy). On the Tiger it faces forward.
