Hi all, I am in the process of changing the rear wheel bearings on my `03 Girly, I have looked in the Haynes manual which says to drive the bearings out with a drift, but there does`nt seem to be much of a lip to push on with the drift.
So I was wondering is it possible to use a bearing press to press one side out, then use a drift on the other side after the spacer has come out with the bearing? I hope this makes sense!
Cheers,
Andy.
You should be able to lever the spacer out of line which will leave you something to hit. Put a punch or something in a little way into the axle hole then just push it up or down and the spacer tube should move.
Sorted! Thanks for the advice.
