Went to the Race Retro show today, they had a Norton stand for the "new" Norton bikes, I know I should have walked away, I should have behaved myself! Instead I have put a deposit down on a 961S  . they're lovely 8) .
Talking to Chris Walker at 11.30 this morning, the show opened at 9.30 and by the time I arrived he had sold four already.
I'll see if I can find a pic or two to put up later.

Am going to the Scottish bike show next week, hope they're not there

tigger's do kinda grow on ya (http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/2uoykcuf/emoticons/Tigger.gif)
red
That bike is causing a similar stirr down under. Just as sexy as a Thruxton and more power and suspension.
If they don't shoot themselves in the foot with corperate wrangling or overreach they are on their way
I saw a couple of these in Toronto in January. They are sweeeeeet!!!!
I just sold my 1971 Commando (not enough cash or time to rebuild it properly). I want a new one and I would almost give my left arm for one of these
.
Only 100 or so are being imported into Canada this year.
Please post more pics and your experiences when you have a few miles on it. How does it compare to a Tiger?
Cheers!
tett
Wooohooo, the Hamster has ordered on I believe and a few other notables, you're not going to get all hoitey with us scum now are you  :notworthy
Oh God, I've gone off the idea now Hammond has one!
Still he's probably ordered the SE, they are all sold out and the first ones get delivered next week.
Nah, no ideas above my station yet, have to see if the old crash helmet will fit if I get a swelled head.
Because they haven't sorted dealers yet the factory is doing servicing and warranty, they'll pick it up and return it free or if you take it up there, lunch a tour and a loan bike for the day. That was reasonable I thought.
Tett, I'm afraid it wont get here for a while yet, delivery is expected in July!
I just went to put my name down for a test ride, but as the production isn't up and running yet, if I went for a test that would be in April, if I then decided I wanted one and ordered it then, delivery wouldn't be until next year :(
So I ordered one with the understanding that if the test ride is no good I get my money back...............................somehow I don't think that will be the case :D
BLACK!!! :D with the mags ,if you want to know about the Norton factory, paddock entrance at Donington,go through, first left.
I like the red one. I've been following these since the Kenny Dreer days. I glad they are finally coming out, I'm not glad I'm broke.
I also hear that they are looking at making a street legal version of the rotary race bike NRV588:

I wouldn't get to carried away, there's a very long story, with an even longer legal wrangle,he doesn't have the rights to make rotarys, and the guy who knows all about them, fell out with above and went his own way,put your tin hat on and check the rotary club!!!!
I had a very helpful friend on the phone this morning. John he says, you've had a red bike you have a black one, you've never had a silver one!
Thanks for that Dave, bad enough choosing from two colours now he's saying silver is nice too.
I think it's going to be red, but not fully convinced yet. I may have to see one in the flesh to make sure.

 Arrrgh, nice friends
 Since you won't be looking at the colour, because you'll be riding it, then you can simply go with the consensus... It's the least you could do....
I'll take some photos when the test ride date comes through!
Saw this on Sunday....

RED!!
Red.
I would have done the same.
Or maybe a Speed Tripple, but that's not a Norton.
John: What color did you finaly end up with for your new Norton? Any news on delivery time, have you had your test ride?
I think it will be RED, that is if it ever turns up.
Test ride were supposed to be April/May, rang them at the end of May and they said they haven't finished building the SEs yet.
So any ideas? No they said, we'll ring you back in a couple of weeks.
I'm still waiting
