Alright! I'll start my ride report now hoping that I'll remember to bring my camera....the pressure is on now.
I'll be headed down to Chicago for a business trip this coming Thursday and I'll be taking the back roads as I always do on the Tigger. I'll be headed back Monday afternoon and I'll pick up some of the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail for a bit.
If anyone would like to join me just send me a PM and we'll see if we can work out our schedules. I route to as many back roads and dirt roads as possible on a trip like this. Number of miles per day is irrelevant to me but the amount of saddle time is a high priority.
Here is a look at my current route.
This is my route down from Minneapolis.

I tied the camera to the bike tonight so the only excuse I'll have for lack of pictures will be that I was having too much fun.
You guys don't know how lucky you are. My best blag was two weeks in Scotland on the 'Bird, in the firm's time with the Queen paying my petrol :D

I guess I shouldn´t mention it, but I can´t resist.
My best free ride was a one year, 60000km trip to Ushuaia, payed for by my company´s 13 months redundancy package.
BTW, I got the job back when I returned, 14 days after the end of the package. You should have seen the look on the faces of those of my colleagues that had wanted to do the same but didn´t ....:)
Back on topic, looking forward to the report. :new_popcornsmiley

Nice, very nice all.....I own the company. There's never a free ride when you own it. I pay for everything! But if I gotta pay I'm gonna have fun while doing it. 8)
Of course the ten day forecast says rain today through Thursday...... Good thing I don't mind riding in the rain but it's not as much fun. (Except for the mud.. )
Well if you haven't heard....the ride was a bust. Rather than post it twice I'll give you a link to my ride report on RideDualSport.com
Bad enough I couldn't finish the ride...no need to post it twice!!
I had a great time anyway though. Here's a link.

Yes indeed....sad kitty.
Well no consolation but better now than on the Banff trip and you can always look forward to the fire trails for another time.
You are lucky to have such an understanding and supportive family.
Any trip that doesn't end in an off is a good one, that's what I tell myself as I wring water out of my gear anyway
Hope kitty gets better soon.
I don't have any bad feelings other than disappointment that I couldn't finish the ride. It's part of riding that I except. Not that I have a ton of break downs, just that bikes are more prone to it and I'm always ready. I could have ridden her home but I had the option of trailering since it was only in Chicago. Short ride from Minneapolis unless you take the two day back roads route I took. And yes, I have a very supportive, Moto GP addicted, two wheeled crazy family behind me. We all ride, including the 4 year old. And when I say ride I mean they pilot their own. Yes, we're motorcycle crazy around here. The way my wife geeks out over bikes just give me goose bumps while I type.....gotta go!!!!
