My rear suspension has a very loud annoying squeak.
It's bad. last year i hit the bushings (swingarm and shock) with some chain lube but it is back and it is worse.
So... is it shock tube bushings or swingarm?
The shop mechanic i used to mount new tires said it can tear up parts and make matters worse if i don't fix it quick. But I forgot to ask if he thought it was swingarm or shock tube.
Hey tyger !! not heard of this before ?? try this, get a loooooooong screwdriver and an assitstant !! sit assistant on bike and get them to bounce the bike ( it might be easier if the shocks set softer ) now put the sharp end of the screwdriver on the lower part of the shock, put yer ear to the handle of the s/driver !! you should hear the noise, now move it to one side of the swingarm, if you keep doin that you will pinpoint where the noise is the loudest and that will yer problem area, does this make any sence :?
hope this helps !!

Fingers, we used fingers. It seems to be the lower bushing on the suspension. So, now to try and do some work to quiet it down & still no center stand :(
[edit]
side note, my suspension is not OEM. I need take a picture and see if anyone recognizes it. It has a threaded collar to adjust the upper end and I don't have the wrench to experiment on it with. :(
