Title: Single sided swing arm.......
Post by: rf9rider on December 11, 2010, 04:45:40 AM
Still collecting a few bits for my Steamer project.

Was wondering if anyone has looked into or actually fitted a single sided swingarm onto a Steamer?

I`m sure i`ve seen one, maybe on a German site?

Got this idea for my new rebuild.
I`ve been told all the Triumph single arms are way too wide, and will take a lot of machining to fit.
The Honda VFR is the way to go.
Now to find one and take some measurements................

If you get a VFR one, will it tie you to using a VFR rear wheel, rear brake etc etc?

Was hoping a Triumph arm would fit my needs, but it seems that the Honda arm will be easier to fit.
I want matching front/rear wheels so will have to look into that.
Its just an idea at the moment, so who knows?
