Title: ignition coil plug
Post by: akendall1966 on February 09, 2011, 09:18:24 PM
Forgive me not strictly a Girly question, but....

Would anyone know the make / source of the ignition coil plug i.e mating part for the denso MB029700-8150 ign coil?

Got the T595 tore down for a thorough service and found I got a broken clip on the plastic housing, so would like to replace it before I reassemble.

I am assuming a 855i probably shares the same coil part (pls don't flame me if I am wrong  )

Nice one KK, just one problem......

22   PFKL1212431   SUB-HARNESS.ENGINE   £197.41   (€232.05)

Now I am back up off the floor! I Have been looking at EBAY, Girlies, sprint RS, Daytona 955i all seem to share the same coil plug on the loom so might have to stump up £20-30 for a 2nd hand loom to scavenge parts from.

Have sent a pleading email to Denso UK for a data sheet or info on the connector, will try the same from triumphant / sprint etc.

Sadly again no, the coil connector has round pins approx 4mm dia. And Denso UK have come back and said they cannot help either.

Thanks for the link though.

So I have bitten the bullet and bought a loom of ebay, the up side is I offered 50% of the asking price and they took it so while still an expensive way to get a 2p bit of plastic  I have got a bunch of other stuff, well ... err to sneak past the wife and fill up the garage a bit more.

Cheers to the help - AK

Useful link, bookmarked. It's quite hard to find these connectors, especially with a reasonable shipping cost.
