Title: How do you let triumph know you own it?
Post by: Putts255 on March 30, 2011, 04:19:49 AM
So I saw a couple posts about getting a recall in the mail.

How does one go about registering as an owner with Triumph?

I checked the website and there does not seem to be any method to register online.

Do I need to send them a letter, go to the dealer, call them....?

Ideas.

Not sure if there is an international link.

You can join the Triumph R.A.T. with a link on this page:

http://www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk/tri ... of-triumph (http://www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk/triumph-world/riders-association-of-triumph)

For some reason, this takes you to the Australian site:

http://www.triumph.co.uk/australia/ratRegForm.aspx (http://www.triumph.co.uk/australia/ratRegForm.aspx)

You can enter your details and details of your bike(s) in there once you are registered.

Thanks a bunch!

It actually says I have outstandning recalls on my bike.  I will be calling the dealer to see what they are and set up an appointment.  Oh and of course the 2½ feet of snow in the backyard will need to melt first too.  I am sure there are some sceptics out there, maybe I should take a picture of my shed and all the snow....

I have also registered on the Canadian R.A.T. page, hope this helps me in the furture too.

Thanks again, I will be saving the link you gave me for the future.

Nice link Kenny.

To answer your question about renewal every 12 months, this is false.  My account has been active nearly 3 years and I think I have logged in twice in that time :)

Page 2 makes me laugh.... "Part of an exclusive and growing club".

If it is exclusive and growing its not going to be exclusive for much longer :(

Got a hold of the dealer.  He says he sees 4 outstanding recalls that need to be done:

1) Replace clutch cable.
2) Wiring Harness changes to sections of the loom around one of the rectifiers
3) Fuel Fittings on gas tank.
4) Gas tank vent hoses replaced

So I booked her in on April 15th with hopes the snow is out of the back yard by then.

Assume the original owner never brought it back to the dealer for service.  Mind you when I bought it last fall there was only 4,200 km's on it or 2,600 miles so not much would have been done as far as service... ;)

I've always understood that you'll not receive the Torque magazine unless you renew every year. Do you still get the mag Luke?
