Title: Renthal chain and sprocket kit. A good deal
Post by: Tigertriple on April 08, 2011, 02:28:35 PM
I bought a Renthal chain and sprocket kit last week from Sportsbikeshop.co.uk. When I telephoned them to enquire about the kit I asked them if they would offer any discount. They gave me 10% discount which took the price down to £126.84 including delivery.

The kit the I bought is the Alpha Tiger 955 which comes with a Gold X ring chain and anodised renthal sprockets. I have now fitted them and they are excellent. I was being quoted over £140.00  plus shipping elsewhere

The guy I spoke to was called Andy and he was very helpful.  :D

Sweet!  Any photos of new cogs and chain installed?  Anodized looks cool.

Here's a photo of the new kit. Also worth mentioning that I have moved away from oil based chain lube and now use Profi-Dry lube. No mess and spatter and does not attract dirt and grime on to the chain.

Supplier details: www.performancemotorcare.com (http://www.performancemotorcare.com) It costs £!3.99 for a 400ml spray which is supposed to last 3 times longer than traditional chain lube.

Hi,

Thanks for your comments. I have shares in Autoglym products. Only kidding, I just keep on top of the cleaning as it pays off when the time to sell comes around.

All the best to you  :D

Tigertriple, how are you getting on with the Renthal C & S, I got to replace my OEM set, after a mere 10,000 miles, so I was looking what was around. http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,9606 (http://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,9606) mines the last post

Which set up did you go for?

D.I.D x-ring for £90 +p&p which is tempting, (Triumph on line)
front sprocket is about £17 Renthal, a normal Front sprocket is £10.

Renthal Chain is approx £89, DID x-ring £100

Rear sprocket Renthal £30 normal £22.

just had a look at Triumph on-line DID x-ring kit £90 plus P&P.

Dunno what to do, most of my bike I have always used D.I.D X-ring
