Title: Space Station
Post by: Bixxer Bob on June 16, 2011, 06:11:12 PM
Anyone spot the space station the last couple of nights?  High in the sky going West to East (that's the opposite to what you'd expect) taking about 5-6 minutes  to cross the sky visible twice most nights, see here:

UK folks look here:

http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/si ... on=England (http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/sightings/cities/region.cgi?country=United_Kingdom&region=England)

Everyone else try this and select your country on the left first:

I saw it night before last, it was very bright and bigger than I expected, almost on par with an aircraft landing light.  Hard to miss really  :D

Cool.  I just got back in, started reading the thread and realised it was about to go over.  I just nipped out and saw it.  A damn site bigger than I was expecting.  I live on the flight path to Heathrow and it was easy to distinguish from the other crap up there :)
