Newbie from East Central IL considering the trip. Wife's a school teacher though so I'd have to go at it alone ... not sure I'm up to that (you're all strangers you know  )
I'll find out tomorrow if I've got the vacation time available and talk to the misses and see if I can find my big boy pants ...

ltlswitz@ritternet.com Gorgeous! These are not cheap, but a group can share the costs and they are worth it. Nancy is a long time friend of the Tiger family.
On the waiting list at the HUB.

Is Maine a good choice?
Quote from: "TigerTrax"Is Maine a good choice?
In July you might have convinced me to ride up there... but now no way from now until June.
Oh yeah... we're talkin 2012!
Then maybe up to Nova Scotia ? Labrador ? Float to Greenland.
Lets have a real ride in where we meet up in New England and ride to Goose Bay Labrador via the Trans Lab Highway and then take the ferry from cartright to Newfie land and then ferry to Nova Scotia ............and then bid farewell to everyone and points home for everyone .
for those not wanting to ride to New England first
you could trailer it to my house and leave the trailer rig in my back yard .
the loop from my house to Goose bay and back is about 3000 miles
it'll separate the wheat from the chaff .........if ya get my drift
goose bay is one place I never managed to get detatched to. Those that did told tales of freezing cold or moskitos from hell
Cold AND Bugs... that's just a loose loose!
Was in Montana in June staying outside Yellowstone and our RV was surrounded by the biggest hoards of mosquitoes I have ever seen. Don't care to repeat that one again!

lived there for three years from 1970-1973 , it wasn't the skeeters that were bad it was the black flies from hell .
and Evil betty , it's actually quite nice in the summer months not cold and not friggin boiling hot either ......and it stays light until midnight :thumbsup
wheat from the chaff .......................
Let's Go Jim and I just finished a 3000 mile jaunt.
Ron and the James just finished 5000 mile jaunt.
We have some LD riders.
BUT... I pick up a nice trailer Nov 3. All alum enclosed.
That can save me 3000 miles just getting to NH!
Always wanted to do a Northeast ride....got a Truck, trailer, Tiger and a passport, what else do I need...Oh, a date...tell me when!
Mustang, will miss you in a couple weeks, but hope to catch up maybe in 2012.
Jason
For those who have NEVER joined us in Jasper, AR. If you live within 500
miles... hop on and join us... the weather will be FANTASTIC!
The BBQ scrumptous!
The roads. . . twisting your frame and bending your mind!
You will see your license plate on a turn!
Overlook the valley from the Cliffhouse. Ride the Pig Trail.
Find the Elk in Boxley. Stop in at Emma's Museum of Junk.
Hit Eureka Springs a check out the lil shops. Take the short ferry ride across Bull SHoals. Or sit back and let the world go by!
My friends it is 1954 all over again. And if distance is your excuse... ask Oldtiger from NC or Guzzidad from FL.... This year will be special.
No excuses.
Not a Tiger in the parking lot of the HUB, what gives?
We're here... bout to head to the HUB restaurant to eat.
What time is breakfast tomorrow?
3:46 pm. . . .
Most riders don't get back until 5:30 - 6:30pm .....
Well... saw the bikes over at the Chalet, Mario's bike pull up at the HUB for dinner, and then I forgot who that other black Girly belonged to that was parked out front.
What was the overall turnout? We pulled in around 5 Saturday evening, didn't run into anyone. Hopefully we didn't miss out on the BBQ.
The BBQ was at 6:45pm at Shady Oak.
Yep you missed it.
Jerry,
If you are ssriously considering a northeast Streak in the spring, I received a message from a fellow rider who was interested in hosting one up that way. I'll dig it up and send him your contact. Maybe we can all get together and meet face-to-face.
Paul

Damn.... I gotta find a better way to stay informed while out there.
Matt..
I was certain I told you I was taking 'head counts' for a BBQ Sat night
at Shady Oak. I had already counted you in.
I went up thru HUB pkg lot looking for Tigers and remind folks... didn't see anyone then went on to do some errands. I bet we missed by 5 minutes.
Paul...
Right now the Maine thing is early in discussion. I think Mustang wants to be involved (NH). The real help comes from someone living up there who knows the area and can get us in remote enough areas away from tourist traps.
The Maine thing could be very big....
We'll be at the FAR EAST USA..... sounds like a long distance contest!
