I've been looking at air pads & might go down that route but I'm going to try a few other things first. I've removed my sheepskin & changed the seat angle, so will try that first.

I suspect you're right though, age & physiology probably has a lot to do with it. The BBW R1200RT i rodeva few months back gave me a similar feeling, or lack of it. :icon_mrgreen:

I nabbed a Sargeant seat a while ago, and still get a numb rear.
I suspect age and physiology play a big part.
Maybe a comfort air seat might help, I have an airhawk and it takes a bit of getting used to, but certainly helps with pressure relief., although I need a different model to fit the Sargeant better.

I really must check my posts when typing on my phone, for spelling before posting.

It really is appalling  :bug_eye

Re: comfort seats, a quick look online & there's one on eBay for £93.24, which I might take a closer look at later. Can't do it now as on works laptop and can't remember my eBay password to log in.

Update: Another look at the 'comfort seat' listing on eBay & it's not a comfort seat. It's just a standard seat that the seller describes as 'comfortable'. Oh well.

If you can find one, get the Triumph comfort seat. It is night and day with the original one. Really liked mine. However, so did the buyer, so I can't help you there. ;)

I must be getting really unfit. It's all this working from home & spending all day sitting at a desk.

Took Talyn J out on Monday. Had a route programmed into the satnav, 160 miles with at least 2 coffee stops. Last year a 200 mile (320km) would have been easy.

Not Monday. I managed around a third of the distance before having to stop. What wasn't aching was going numb & even ic I headed for home by the mist direct route, I was still 80 miles away.

So a 30 minute stop, coffee & cake, then abandoned my route & headed north along the coast before heading inland for home.

Still managed 160 miles & Talyn J performed faultless. With a full tank of premium fuel, I managed it without filling the tank. Provablg one of my better mpg.

This morning I went out to the garage & changed the seat angle to see if that makes a difference. I did a few thousand miles over a week last year without problems. The only change is lowering the seat & a change of riding gear.

More news, I've been in touch with Muddysump & he's in my area in October, just in time for Talyn J's 24000 mile service. She's currently on 22003 miles, so a bit more rining needed i think.  :wheel

Isn't this similar to the sasquatch Mod from waaayback?
There's a sticky for this exact issue, the Achilles heel of the Girly, I hear...along with plastic fuel connectors?

They are great bikes when maintained well. The electrics are a little weak, especially now that these bikes are probably at least 18 years old. Wires become brittle, the charging circuit, as you found is not the best, but look after them & they'll look after you.

I found that unless used, the battery would fail. I had two in two years, not because they were cr4p batteries, but because the bike was left unused for a couple of months & I didn't have it on a trickle charger to maintain it. In fact the only battery I had an issue with was a Motobatt.

Sorted - I took the stator cover off and although it checked out OK on conductivity, there were a few suspect heat-damaged wires.  A quality replacement from Electrex has the bike reliability charging.

The only time the voltage dips significantly is when in traffic when the fan comes on - to be expected as that would be maximum load with both headlights too.

Since then,, a new hydralic rear brake switch and a rear sprocket and this is turning out to be a greate ride.

Having access to good internet service in my current work location :icon_frown:
I'm sitting my work truck/ute with a cell booster for my phone after finding a location with more than one bar service has been a challenge.
We take it for granted whilst living in a populace location. I feel for people who live remote areas.
It's nice for catch up on here  :thumbsup
