The lhs front caliper has a chunk missing just where the seal is & will not seal at all, so a replacment is required but before I source a direct replacment & I have had experience with these nissin calipers before which I personally do not like anyway does anyone know of any calipers that will fit the tiger instead of these?
I have heard the 4 pot bandit calipers do fit any ideas anyone?????

Thanks Malc
its grrreaaattttttttt

Is the chunk missing right at the edge for the dust seal? One of mine (lhs, as it happens) has a small chunk missing and until I fitted OEM seals instead of the pattern ones I'd fitted at last overhaul, the piston would push the dust seal out...

Check out Bikebandit: find their number for the caliper and then see which other bikes it's fitted to. From memory, some of the older triples used the same calipers as the Tiger. Then turn to eBay.

According to Bikebandit, the LHS caliper assembly for a 2003 Tiger also was fitted to the list below. That include the carrier, though. The caliper itself may well be used elsewhere.

Thanks Ill get searching, the crack is right at the top near the seal & will not seal no how it keeps pulling out of the gap & trapping the piston,

Not sure if it'll work but my buddy with a speed triple says the gsxr and r1 calipers are a direct swap on his 07.  The R1 front calipers have those cool colored pistons  :D  and the yellow matched his yellow almost perfectly!  check with their forum.

It may also depend on how talented you are with various machines.

I upgraded a Ducati 860GT to twin calipers using Yamaha calipers and the Ducati discs. I had found the appropriate disc, but could not locate either the caliper or master cylinder. I simply machined adapters to put the calipers on the legs.

I say simply, you may not.

I will look mate thanks I have no problem with altering stuff to suit & have the gear to do it so may be a go,er.
I have measured up a set from a 1200 bandit old shape which fit so I have sourced a set from a mate which he is going to flog me when I have used these pads then I changing calipers.
I managed to source a replacment from ebay of the STD caliper which I have fitted till I wear pads out.
