I like that, looks pretty sturdy compared to the original plastic thing which breaks easily.

Aluminium. Easy to weld, lightweight and looks appropriate (I think).

SS is quite heavy, hard to form, hard to cut, hard to find, and moderately difficult to weld.

Using arc rods?
