Used to love his stuff in Bike, I knew hew went but sort of lost track of him shortly after, good to know the book got published, might drop a hint or two at birthday time.

I've just read it (again). I find it gets the juices flowing when planning for a trip, if not quite so adventurous as his. I like his style of writing, even if he loses the plot a bit at times.

And how anyone who is such a muppet at basic motorcycle maintenance managed to make it as far as he did is beyond me. :augie
