Rev counter reading high

3800 revs high to be exact.

Something the dealer did upset the rev counter and now it thinks 3800 rpm is zero.  works ok otherwise.

I checked the ECM output using OBD2 software and it's correct, so it'e the counter or the wiring at fault.  Anyone had this or got any ideas?

Explain to him the battery thing... may just need a reset.  I would think that it would be best to get the remap done with the battery on a trickle charger at the same time... you just never know what corruptions he poked in there on a low battery... And it should be no cost????
