Nice, more photo's required!
Is it really an adventure bike if its wheels never see dirt?

NeilD

no more photos at the moment, not even had a chance to ride it yet..  :(  preplanned weekend away for mine and t'other halfs birthdays, so will have to wait till Monday...

the photo does flatter it slightly, but hey it was  something I lusted over in my 'youth' and cosmetics are quite straightforward to sort out - now I just need Debbie Harry to pop round to complete the set!  :D

Chris Canning

As I recall the folk who bought e'm new didn't too much riding on e'm either, but they are nice to look at!!,but thats a hand grenade if ever I saw one.

Now I have to scratch my head and remember,I had a mag last year with an article about the Darmah and owners who have done what,I think it was Classic Bike.

A young Debbie Harry popping round would erm.. certainly complete a very special day!

Bewdiful! I had an 860GT in my youth but my pernickity insistence on it starting and charging the battery when I wanted soured our relationship.

I still miss it. Enjoy your lovely beast

I, too, had an 860GT. Bought it, sold it, bought it back!! Then I got practical and bought my first Hinckley (Trophy).

Had to rewire, re-ignition (Dyna III ignitor for Honda 4, repositioned triggers, CB360 rotor, custom box for left side of rear cam, etc, etc...) but I still loved her.

And a few other, customisations...
Life is too important to be taken seriously.

I used to have long hair, took acid and went to hip joints. Now I long for hair, take antacid and need a new hip joint

nice one Neil; don't overdo the restoration, they look better with the patina of age if in good original condition (OMHO  )
I don't want to achieve immortality through prayer, I want to achieve it through not dying...

BB - I think its  an 'older restoration' as it looks like the frame has been powdercoated, stainless brakelines and stainless nuts n bolts scattered about it, so most of it looks tidy..  the wheels are a bit of a strange colour, but what I really really want to do is repaint or polish the fork yokes - they're currently a horrible gold/silver colour

Chris - yes they do have the potential to go horribly wrong - this could mark the start of my descent into madness and poverty!  :D at least now I'll have an excuse to wander around autojumbles 'looking for bits'  :) apparently the handlebar switchgear is Japanese (Gt380 etc) from new
