I recently took the tank off to do the 'rewire' thing.  I happened to see there is a connector loose!  To avoid taking the tank off again... did I forgot something  :?:

From memory I think there was an unused connector like that on my bike but cant be sure, or its the connector to the air temp sensor in the airbox, but I would have thought you would get the MIL light on if it was.

Edit: Ive just looked back at some photos of when I had mine apart to do the valve clearances and there was definately a connector like that which didnt connect to anything

Just looked on my '06, i have an unused connector in the same place, although the plastic on mine is black, not light grey like yours.

The plastic rear of the unused connector on mine is brown like this, see here:

Ha! as Stretch says in this topic:

"Note that the brown connector with the short wire is not the wire for the Inlet Air Temperature Sensor. Rumor Control has it as being a connector for Euro and California emissions controls."

So then, why is it not used in Europe?  Anyway, I'm not worryed anymore ... I didn't forget to connect  :D

It would be used for the USA California emission control system. The Bosch connector would connect to the Purge solenoid for the carbon canister system which is to reclaim any fuel vapors from the gas tank.

I am surprised Triumph didn't plug the connector off if it is unused.
