I'm new to the triple thing and was wondering what kind of issues I might want to look out for.

I've found an '02 with ~19,000 miles on her, minor rash on the tank and fairing.

PS.  Hi everyone.

cool.  Thanks.

I know the electrical/charging issue has been sorted.

Has the SW-Motech center stand.

I'm not sure about the fuel line fittings though.

I'll need crash bars and maybe a skid plate though.

The big problem is that I am buying based on seller descriptions and pictures.  The bike is 1000 miles away, and I'm hoping to do a fly and ride.

it has some very minor scuffs on one side, but for less than $4k US, it looks pretty good.

On a plane to go pick her up!

Planes suck. Especially small, packed ones.

Flying to the outer isles in Scotland is an experience.  They use a little five-seater. In the terminal, the pilot (no other crew involved) puts each passenger on a set of bathroom scales with their suitcase.  He adds them all up and if we're overweight, someone, or someone's bags have to wait till the next flight.  If the wind is blowing in the right direction, he doesn't bother with the runway and simply takes off on the taxiway on the way out. It's the nearest I've ever come to a flying taxi

Flying into one of otter Isles in the 70's, forget which one but never forgot the experience, I thought the pilot was coming in too hot and we did go round for a second approach to land. When he saw the look on my face, I was right next to him, he says " don't worry I was just checking the tide was far enough out and scarring the sheep off the runway"
