Personally I have the Haynes manual but am not mechanically minded and have no aspirations to become so. The first thing I reach for when I break down is my AA card then my phone. It is however nice to be able to ask questions here before heading to the dealer and showing my total ignorance or worse before I get ripped off by a dealer for something which could be easily resolved.
