I'm in the middle of a changing the oil in my forks. I have some 5W Suzuki fork oil thats supposed to be compatible for my bike. Would a heavier weight oil be better for me at 245 lbs.
The book calls for 720 cc of oil. Would it make the fork a little stiffer by increasing the volume of oil, and by how much?

What year bike...?

On a Steamer... most go for 15w...
but I've heard mix 10w & 15w ... get about 12½ wt and it works perfect.

My '06 ain't ready yet... but very soon!  My manual says Kayabe 10
( I guess that's 10 wt! ) ( Never heard of it before )

Maybe get some emulators.

I changed it today. I went with a 10W (720cc). It's an 04.
