You know that buzzing you get when you start up the bike? Well this morning mine didn't shut off. I rode all the way to work with this thing buzzing. What is it and how do I shut it off? Or does it mean time it's to replace something?
My bike is a 2001 955i

Thanks,
Tom

I am pretty sure you are talking about the noise the fuel pressure regulator makes.  It is under the black cover on the left side of the tank by the fuel lines.  The one on my Sprint was noisy I turned it just a bit and it went quiet again.  You might try tapping it lightly with the handle of a screwdriver and see if it goes quiet.

I'll try to tap it and let you know. If this continues, will it harm anything?
Or is it a signal to replace the part?

Robbie

on the 2001 you have a small pipe connected. pull off the pipe a squirt some wd 40 up the tube. this cured mine

the regulator is a small valve that is sprung closed, the buzzing is just noise produced by the small movement when it works.
