does anyone have an drawings and or photo's of the engine mount(s) on a Steamer.  Anyone with insite on th engines part as structural or stress member of the frame  (or not) etc. would be surely appreciated as well.

Based on the attach points, the engine prevents the tube frame from straightening under load.  That would make it a stressed member only under a certain loading.  Beyond that, you need to try and find out what Triumph was thinking, as none of the later bikes take this design path AFAIKT. :wink:

Yeah its a weird one the way the motor hangs from the frame.  Good reason to have the skid plate and engine guards IMHO.
