I whipped the alternator out today to have a look for signs of the DAR or upgrade etc. Everything fine re the bolts but the cush drive rubbers appeared to have been glued in with silicone and incorrectly assembled.

I cleaned it all out and put the rubbers in correctly with no silicone goop, new O ring and bolted it all in. The bike is now much quieter at idle which is great but why? The rubbers were in wrong but surely they should still have been doing the job? One of those things I guess.
