Because at speed with any significant load on the back the bike behaves like my Staffie when she gets real excited. The tail wags the dog.

You know you want to.  And the only time I've wished for a steering damper is around 140mph.  Oh, and at 3mph in the sand. :oops:

The Tiger is like riding a rodeo bull! Where I ride there's lots of rock trails and bumpy dirt roads. Just trying to figure out how to ride faster over this stuff.  Going slow makes me fall down.
