Thought I'd ask, are the leads bonded to the suppressor caps? I have done 1200 miles since jan nice weather allowed it. Teething problem was persistent misfire which was ht lead arcing, followed by broken throttle cable 20 miles from base:-/  all fixed but ineed new leads the best Ivan get is £62 for all 3 can I fit leads into caPs? By the way im hooked :-)[/img]

Most leads just screw into the caps, never looked at the Steamers, as not had a problem..........................yet

Just need to change the ht leads as once they have arced it burns a small area of insulation away so I have too change the leads the coil end is plug in with a distributor type connection, the other end goes into what appears to be a bonded suppressor cap which if I wreck it will cost me dish, so do I spend out on the assembly?

you are correct you cannot reuse the caps on the OEM leads must replace the whole buisness if the leads are junk

nology hot wires are cheaper than oem and far better .pricey but can be had for under a 100 bucks a set

Or bin the old coils and leads completely and fit a set of stick coils from a TT600. You just gotta extend the wiring a bit to reach, all the spade connectors are available from Maplins.

They do need to be bulked out a bit using heatshrink or tape just to stop any water or road crap getting down inside the plug tubes.

These will do the trick

Have you tried Sprint Manufacturing, they have OEM replacement leads and coils at a fraction of the dealer prices.  :D

I was going to go there anyway for a centre stand kit they do and I'm only 20 clicks away, but I decided to go with the nology leads I think they should be an interesting experiment seeing the're coming from the us and are still cheaper than oem, but I must go to sprint anyway, thankx
