High Speed Wobble/Sway

Gents and Gentettes,
I dont post often but lurk a lot.  I have a 2002 Girly with the Triumph hard cases that came with her at the time.  My issue is lots of sway and wobble at 80+ mph.  Not a head shake, more of a side to side rapid sway/wobble.  Even more so when passing semi-trucks.  Is there a recommended suspension setting?  I weigh 175 lbs and usually have the side cases on all the time.  Any advice is appreciated.  This shit gets hairy sometimes.

I'm hoping it's not just horrible aerodynamics due to the side cases.

fraid' so.............add a bunch of preload to the rear may or may not help

dancin with 18 wheelers always makes me tiggers loose above 80 mph
certain tires seem to be worse also
I had  a set of Maxxis presas that were horrible when new with the side cases ,  setteled down a little as the rear tire wore down some in the center.

go for a dance with the trucks without the cases and compare

I'm running Tourances.  Put them on late last summer and I have about 5000 miles on them. (Minnesota winters = low miles).  Thanks for the tips and advice Mustang.  I'll report back after I adjust preload and dance naked with a truck.

Turn your rear shock all the way up and don't look back.

I also added copper spacers in the front forks to eliminate nose dive.

If he hasn't done that at 175lb he's riding a chopper.

By up I assume to the highest setting?  5 0r 6?

I cant get any movement out of the forks so I guess im ok.  Its due for the 12k service so I'll have someone take a look soon

Cranked it up to 5.5 and solved the problem.  2k mile trip and no issue.
