Hello all,
Bought my first Tiger 2 months ago. Yellow '99 885i. Been the happiest guy around since then. Have already used these forums extensively, so I thought I'd drop a line of thanks.

I've just ordered a blue flame silencer (after many hours of going through the various topics here on the much debated subject), hope to install in the next week or so. Will be smiling even more then.

A mate and I are planning a 2 week trip through Europe at the end of next month. Cannot wait to get cracking and for the grey skies to clear up for summer.

thanks guys

just installed the blue flame. what a difference it makes! and that's without the off road engine map. will post some pics when i get her nice and clean after all this rain we've had.

has anybody else put the same can on and find it sits really close to the rear plastic hanger that the licence plate sits on? mine is touching. very softly but not sure it's the optimum position i'd like it.

Vince, what are your dates and where do you plan to visit? i'm always partial to a few cold ones. :friday

Hi, yes my BlueFlame would just about touch the plastic if it didn't have a bracket. I'll take a picture of my bracket tomorrow and post it here so you can see.

Tell me you go the dual port blueflame? xD They're awesome.

hey bigdan, a pic would be great. cheers.

i installed without the bracket but would probably solve the problem right?

i went for the single port option. any idea how much difference there is between the two?

i am absolutely LOVING her new theme tune!

Thanks, Bob. I must have read that topic about 5 times before i bought the can. Now having fitted it and reading it again it all makes sense.

I just put the bracket on over my lunch break. Looks and sits much better now. I have the bracket facing down (i.e. lowering the can as the bracket wouldn't fit otherwise), as opposed to the way you have yours.

Much happier now.  :D
