I know oil is a bad subject on most boards.  Seems I should be putting in 15w-40 accordng to the owners manual recommending  Mobil 4t which I first started looking for at the usual oil places for me, amazon, local auto parts places only to find no one has any oil excpet diesel engine 15w-40 let alone a systhetic or semi synthetic  cycle oil.  What gives?  Don't have time to ride to Hermy's for oil as it is a busy week for me and I was hoping to do a change this weekend.  Was going to have them send me a filter.  Shipping oil and paying dealer prices might make me cry. :)

10W-40 is the usual fill.

So you think they just misprinted it 4 times in my manual  Sounds like something that I'd find in the manual for my TVR not an actual production vehicle company with proof readers  and the like on staff.  I'll order the 10w-40.

Thanks!

Ben

+ 1 on the Rotella 5W40 full synth (T6) ... Have used on my 2000 Tiger for 2 years now with no ill effects. Ran it in my 06 Bonneville for 5 years prior to that and in a hand full of other bikes. All took it well, no clutch slip, no issue in cold down into the 30s.
