I was able to squeeze a little road trip out before the weather turned too bad....my original plan was to head toward the gorgeous (and usually very wet) Olympic peninsula and do the 101 hiway loop..... After some flip flopping in my mind I decided to head east.

This was the new route I had decided on while sitting at a McDonalds in Fife, Washington...
After navigating some small forest fires around the Cascade mountains I found my way to Leavenworth Washington

The cute small Bavarian themed Leavenworth.
After some winding around the state I found some strate roads and played with the camera a bit.

Wide open real estate out here

Then I found this twisty sinuous route on the way to Palouse falls in eastern Washington.

Palouse Falls just a bit after sunset and just a little lower water level.

The oldest operating bar in Washington state....it was closed on Monday.

The route I found for my return trip.

Leading to this lake after a ton of twisties.

The fruits of my efforts.

A grainy picture of my total miles....822

The return route......shadowed hiway 14, but WAY more fun!!

All in all a great trip..... Finally got to see Palouse Falls, saw a ton of wind turbines, the Tiger never ceases to amaze me with ease it is to absorb the miles...

Great pictures! I took a two week ride out to Montana this summer on my ol BMW K100RS. It had been about 35 years since I'd been there and man...... I'd forgotten just how big it is. Thank God!
