I have a 95 tiger 900 and will soon be putting the engine back to one piece.  I am not sure what to do with the "cylinder liners" or barrels, I tried to remove them from the engine but they only came up an inch or so and I saw no point in continuing to struggle with them.  Now I don't know if I should use some sealant in the bottom or not.  I would appreciate if someone with experience could let me know what to do.

the barrels need to be sealed with Hylomar sealant , some auto stores sell it and it is available from Triumph.
if you don't you will leak coolant into the crankcase
