A friend has done a deal on his CBR1000f,and ended up with an 88 600 Transalp. We swapped bikes on Sun.The  'alp' is quite a big bike for a 600,its surprisingly easy to ride, and handles well with its 21" front wheel. It would make an ideal bike for a novice coming out of learner mode. Anyway,we arrived at our destination..Owls Nest cafe,Llandovery,my mate got off the Tiger, turned to me and said " that thing is like a trail bike on steroids"! I think its a good description actually  :headbang

I had an 88 Transalp before my Tiger, and did a fair few miles on it. A pleasant and forgiving bike for  a recently qualified rider as I was then. Tell your friend to check the oil frequently. Mine went from top to bottom of the dipstick on a motorway run down to Cardiff. They do not like prolonged high rev riding.
It\'s ok , this will only take 5 minutes.

Will do. You don't realise how good the Tiger is until you ride something else. I can't imagine anything matching it from that era? :icon_wink:
