Levers & Reservoirs

Ok.  I haven't really seen anything on here for modding the levers, reservoirs, and mirrors.
Thoughts?   
Mine are hitting the front fairing which I don't like and they just generally look like a giant cluttered mess.
I think it would look much better cleaned up.  Don't you?

What bars are you using? If you have the stock non adjustable levers, they can be replaced with either many of the (don't have the details handy) or there is a stock looking adjustable lever set available. Be aware that if you want to use the period hand guards with adjustable levers you will need to "stretch" them a bit at a couple points to prevent jamming.

So I am using the Moose Racing bars that were promoted by Mustang.  I have the Rox risers as well.  So I understand that my changes that I have made already are causing the problem.  However, I am using El Tigre mainly off road adventures and the set up I have works well for riding standing up.  So I want to keep that.  I also have the Barkbusters.  They have come in very handy!!!! 
I was even thinking of ditching the Moose bars for some 1 1/8th" bars w/ out the cross bar(the Rox risers have an insert that I can take out so I will measure it to see if it's 1 1/8th").
So I was thinking I could steal a whole front brake perch set up for that side then look into getting a hydrolic clutch set up for the other side.

I have the Moose bars and Rox risers on my Steamer, no issue with anything hitting the fairing with mine?

Do your risers move  the bars back any?

Is the steering stop lug missing ... Like on mine

I will check for the steering stop.  Yes I can move the risers for n aft but if I move my bars back they will be closer to me than I prefer(but then they wouldn't hit ).

I have the doubletake mirrors, and while they are better than the stock ones for adjustability, they still vibrate so badly at speed that you can't use them to distinguish a truck from a trooper. Maybe my Shinko tires with more aggressive tread are also a factor, but if you are buying them for better rearward vision, you may want to think again.

You will likely be better off if you tilt the bars back only as much as needed to clear the fairing. This may have you standing on the pegs in an awkward way. I solved this with a pair of lowered pegs offered on this site by MUSTANG. Tilt the bars a bit up in the new location so that your wrists are better placed. I also removed the stock bars & bent the handhold portion back about an inch (maybe search out bars with more pullback?). Worked for me @ 6'0''
