I'm off down to Threepots neck of the woods on Thursday..................... Come on Fiji !!!!!!

This'll make you laugh,

when we're driving down to Cardiff last week, my missus is sat there looking at the tickets;
"Oh my god" she blurts out, "Their spelling is atrocious, there's a W in Australia and two F's in Fiji!!"

I left it for a few seconds to see if it would dawn on her, but no, "Love, where are we going?"

"Oh yeah"

Bless.

A strapping young rugby team from the early 1970's. Alas none of these stalwarts were good enough to go on to international rugby fame and fortune!!  :ImaPoser

Well, it's all gone mightily wrong. :icon_sad: Twickenham was understandably downbeat on the way back to the coach. On the way out we spotted Courtney Lawes making a hasty exit to avoid the flack.

Missus is now cheering for Ireland (Grandfather), me .... I would just like to see a northern hemisphere side in the final.  Ireland probably have the best chance of that now, unless the frenchies pull something special out of the bag.

Well I think I would have been disappointed with Scotland's performance even if they had won. The commitment and spark from the previous games was sadly missing.

Strange as it may seem, I was rooting for England and really expected them to keep it a lot closer. I do wonder about some of those obscure scrum decisions the ref made, very technical and not really in the spirit of keeping the game flowing.

It made me quite sick to listen to some pundits crying "the end of the competition", the clue is in the name guys Rubgy WORLD Cup. The people who really enjoy and support the game will continue to do so.

Unfortunately I haven't seen any of Scotlands games due to being on the road /train going to other games normally.

Although I enjoy going to the games, it's more difficult to keep track of the ref's decisions. They have been selling radios at the games, but I've not bought one (tightarse), so I suppose I've only got myself to blame.

I'll still be watching as much as poss on TV and going to our last 2 games. I'm with you in that the competition is still alive, with (hopefully) the best games yet to come. Although saying that finals can sometimes be quite boring due to that hesitancy to take chances in case they let the opposition through.

On a side note, it's been a bit more expensive than we planned as the turbo on my XTrail blew on the way back from Cardiff on thursday. At least it waited until we'd seen the game. Garage reckons £1250!!

Come on Ireland (for MrsD)

Ps... I had a pint with one of the England team from 2003 this afternoon!

Give him my commiserations,  now you know what it feels like to be Scots in recent years. Talk about insult and injury Gav.

If it's out of warranty Gav, try a good turbo specialist.  You might be pleasantly surprised.

Just discovered that a lot of the games are on YouTube. Don't know why I didn't look there first. The Japan v S.Africa games was one of the best I've ever seen. Can't figure out how there can be a bunch of distinctly non-oriental blokes on the team though.......

The England Wales game was a cracker too. Interesting that the HRHs were supporting the Welsh. It's in the name, I suppose  :qgaraduate

None a them on our little rock BB. I'm afraid I've had to lump the bill to get it done asap so the missus has her work transport back again.

It's a 10 yr old motor that i've had from new. Been quite trouble free up til now, just a wheel bearing and 2 brake calipers. Might be time to get it fixed and move it on.

Nick ........... got a name?? Can't be many of them living in Vladivostock!!

One for England , one for Wales. Bit of Royal diplomacy going on there I think.

I suppose if you are going to be the prince of wales you need to show some willing.

I was in London not Vladivostock and it was Neil Back!

Oddly enough since Bixxer changed my name to Vladivostock I have met two women from there. Never met a single Russian beforehand!
