I've done some searching and I cannot seem to find a list of model/year changes anywhere for the tiger.

Anyone have such a link?

I'm looking at a new or used one and want an idea of whats missing/changed on the model years out there.

handwarmers, inability to adjust seat/suspension height, transmission changes, wheel changes, tire sizing, steamer years,etc,etc...

TigerTrax

As part of my upcoming Tiger website there is a section that in fact has all the specs for each Tiger year. I have only a couple to go before complete.

But.. to save you some 'information overload' ... keep this in mind:

'95 - '97  Were very similar in most respects

'98  incorporated some improvements and carb change to Kehein.

'99  The major change was introduction of fuel injection and new styling

       using the 900cc engine.

'01 or '02 The 955 FI engine was introduced and supension changes.

'05 nice improvements in forks, trail, and solid wheels.

'06 sounds like engine performance enhacements

But id you ride ANYTHING NOW.... come to the 3rd annual Tiger Ride-In and see   50+ Tigers from around the country. TAlk to the owners, see their mods, .... BUT COME FOR THE GRANDEST TIME YOU NEVER IMAGINED    June 9-11 2005    JAsper, Arkansas! See Attachement.

Well. thats kinda tight schedule of late.

Here's what I've found so far with questions at the end:

93-97? Carburated 885? aka steamer with mikunis

98 carb  Keihin (better fuel consumption). The Mikuni emulsion tubes can wear, which causes them to use more fuel. This can be fixed.

dual exhaust?

-different "waffle" grips?

-885i ?? around 99

March 2001, current engine, to end of 2003, no changes at all.

-955i engine.

single exhaust?

On the older Tigers, if you remove the rubber foot peg covers, there are actually claw-type MX footpegs underneath.?

older recalls?

-2004 on they brought out the "2005" (cast wheels) model

inclusion of hard bags in 04

recalls? the fuel petcock?

tubeless tyres, different swingarm, silver painted frame, different

colours/decals, slightly sharper steering head angle and slightly stiffer

suspension

Early 04 bikes were recalled to check the pipework to the radiator

expansion tank, and I've heard some really early bikes suffered from

fragile clutch cables.

questions:

-grip heaters?  seem to be standard in uk but not on US bikes at all?

can the factory parts be added over here?

-center stand?

-adjustable clutch/brake levers? (they are HORRIBLE far)
