Finally got round to test rideing a Sprint today,more as a comparison to my 1100s then my Tiger but interesting non the less,normally prefer to ride a test bike with a mate so i can get a better gage against his bike,but what i did notice was the lack of vibration,haveing said that i'm always suspicous of Triumph as i've believed for some time their demos for new models are speacially prepared the 955 Tiger i rode in 2001 was a missile!!!

The phenomenon you describe is well known, and I think where the phrase "drive it like a rental" comes from.

I agree, most demos are abused.  That said, whatever was done to my 2000 885i Tiger demo was OK;  50MPG and absolutely no oil consumption.  Now hopefully the engine stays together!
