Finally got round to sorting a few issues with my tiger.  Had to strip, clean and rebuild the calipers with new stainless pistons.

Next job was to sort out the clutch.  i had ordered a wemoto clutch cable ready to install but had been playing with the idea of converting to a hydraulic clutch.  Only one I could find off the shelf was the magura setup which is rather expensive.  I was webflicking and found a nice little clutch slave from a supplier that was £20 delivered.  I had a triumph clutch master off a sprint that acutally matched the tiger brake master.

The clutch slave even bolted up to the original bracket on the engine.  Little bit of playing with it and making a hose up and it works like a charm.  Going to take it for a spin tomorrow and report back

Well done there mate, good, cheap improvement for your bike.

How does she ride with the new clutch arrangement? What are the advantages of hydraulic actuation?

Cheers

There's another thread with photos about fitting such, one of the reasons I bought my my XR is because it has a clutch cable I've 2 bike with hydraulic clutches they go belly up out on the road your stuffed.

Ive had hydraulic clutches and cable clutches go down so they are about equal for failure.  cable clutches require oiling

The hydraulic setup will adjust it's self a little as you use it.  I can adjust the slave cylinder if i need to as well.

I have just got to rotate the lever a little as it feels out of position a bit.
